Worker's Comp for Enforcers

A Norfolk Admirals player will receive worker's comp for injuries sustained during an on-ice fight. The court decided his injured shoulder was sustained as a result of his work as an "enforcer" for the hockey team.

I went to one Admirals game early on in high school and I've never been more afraid at a sporting event. The fans were belligerent drunks and in response to a bad call, the Admirals coach threw the entire stock of his team's sticks out on the ice before trying to take down the ref. He actually came out on the ice in his dress shoes and tried to run after the ref, who was on skates. The fans were pleased.
